Argentinian architect Julian Bonder is famous for his Museo del Holocausto in Buenos Aires (2000). Along with Polish artist Krzysztof Wodiczko he designed the controversial Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery that opened its' door in Nantes on the 25th of March. A 8,500 square metre area construction on one shore of the Loire that is simultaneously  “A commemorative monument, a work of art and a public area, which forms a part of an urban development project”.
